I took additional photos in which I got my artist to adopt various poses. These photos were then manipulated by cropping and by adjusting the colour balance so that they appeared more atmospheric.
I decided to incorporate multiple photos of my artist in the advert, as I felt this would increase his exposure to the public and ultimately help in establishing him as a brand, thus fulfilling one of Goodwin’s identified principles.
I also decided to use a red font, as it would provide a contrast with the rest of the advert (which is dark and mostly black), subsequently capturing the attention of the magazine readers.
I also included reviews of the album as I thought this would prove a persuasive marketing decision as the reviews help establish the album as an appealing product.
